The goal of Distant Bloom is to take the world from ruins to a world in bloom. Headbangers will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series later this year. Pigeons can be customized with clothing, hats, glasses, voices, taunts, and more. Compete in musical mini-games there are 23 of them across four rounds. Like some of us, I’m tired of battle royale games, but this one is different: it’s rhythm-based! You and 29 other pigeons compete to complete the quest of claiming the title of Master Headbanger.

Headbangers seems just delightful, happy and musical… and weird.

But it’s not all as great as it sounds… Resistor will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series “soon.” The corporations take turns hosting an annual racing tournament, with the prize being citizenship. Within those walls, people life comfortably and with excess, completely removed from the harsh realizes of the outside world. It’s 2060 and the world’s governments have destroyed one another, leaving only self-contained city states run by huge corporations. It features exploration, stunt-infused racing, and explosive vehicular combat. It would be reasonable to describe Resistor as a CaRPG (get it? car-RPG!) since it is an open-world narrative-driven (ha) adventure RPG. So let’s get started with some of the best highlights of the show, which I’ll follow with a full list of the games mentioned as well as the entire show’s video if you’d like to take a look. This showcase lasts about 50% longer than most (it’s an hour and a half) but does take good long looks at some games. Well, kind of – the hosts are voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey. Another showcase that starts with the word “future!” This time, though, it’s hosted by Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson.
